Turkish shelling targets two villages in Syria’s Kobani

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – Turkish artillery targeted on Monday evening military posts of the Syrian government forces in two villages east of Kobani city in Aleppo northern countryside, northern Syria.

A military source told North Press, “The shelling hit military posts of the Syrian government forces in the villages of Khane and Goran with four and seven shells respectively.”

The shelling is still taking place sporadically, the source added.

On October 3 and 6, the Turkish forces shelled the village of Qaramogh and Zormaghar respectively, wounding a man and a soldier of the Syrian government forces, in addition to displacing people.

On October 3, four soldiers of the Syrian government forces were killed in Turkish bombing of their checkpoint in the village of Jishan in the countryside of Kobani.
