Man wounded in Turkish shelling of Syria’s Kobani

KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – A man was wounded on Monday evening in a Turkish shelling of a village in the eastern countryside of Kobani, northern Syria.

A local source told North Press, “Masoud Ayoub, 53, from the village of Qaramogh, was slightly wounded in the Turkish forces’ shelling of the village, and was taken to a hospital to receive proper treatment.”

On Monday evening, the Turkish artillery renewed the shelling of the villages of Qaramogh, Kolteb and Jishan in Kobani eastern countryside. They also targeted the villages of Mazraa Abrosh and Tel Shaer, west of Kobani.

A military source told North Press that the shelling of Qaramogh targeted the residents’ homes, while the bombardment of Tel Shaer and Jishan focused on military posts of the Syrian government forces.
