A military source told North Press, “The Turkish artillery targeted with seven shells the vicinity of Tel Rifaat and the road connecting Tel Rifaat and Sheikh Hilal village in Aleppo northern countryside.”

Since early May, the villages of the northern countryside of Aleppo have been witnessing continuous Turkish shelling, which could affect the residents by damaging their crops as they enter the harvest season.

The town of Tel Rifaat, 35 km north of Aleppo city, has been a shelter for Afrin displaced people since 2018 following the Turkish invasion of Afrin and its countryside which resulted in the displacement of about 300.000 of the original inhabitants.
