Turkish forces shell two villages in Syria’s Aleppo
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and their affiliated armed Syrian opposition factions, known as Syrian National Army (SNA), shelled on Wednesday the outskirts of two villages in Aleppo northern countryside, northern Syria.
An exclusive source told North Press, “Turkish forces and their allied SNA factions shelled the vicinity of Sheikh Isa village, east of Tel Rifaat town, and the village of Tel Chichan in northwest of the town.”
The source added, the Turkish forces struck with heavy artillery the vicinity of Sheikh Isa with 11 shells.
The source did not mention any casualties or material damage.
The town of Tel Rifaat, 35 km north of Aleppo city, has been a shelter for Afrin displaced people since 2018 following the Turkish invasion of Afrin and its countryside which resulted in the displacement of about 300.000 of the original inhabitants.
On Monday, Turkish forces shelled the villages of Sogunaka and Herbel near Tel Rifaat with at least 10 artillery shells.
Since the beginning of October, the villages and towns in Aleppo northern countryside have been subjected to Turkish bombardment on a daily basis.
