ISIS prosecutes people in Hawl tents – Operation Inherent Resolve

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Brig. Gen. Claude Tudor, the Commander for the Combined Special Operations Joint Task Force – Levant (CSOJTFL) said on Saturday that Islamic State Organization (ISIS) used to prosecute children and women in tents before starting Operation of Humanity and Security in Hawl Camp.

This came in a common statement of the US-led Global Coalition and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah governorate, northeast Syria.

A few hours before, Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) revealed the toll of detainees and weapons found during the operation that lasted for 24 days.

On August 25, Asayish announced launching the second phase of Operation “Humanity and Security” in Hawl Camp to pursue the sleeper cells of the ISIS.

Tudor urged countries to repatriate their nationals from the camp and continually support humanitarian operations against the ISIS.

The military solution in this time is “useless” and the situation needs a “diplomatic security solution” and the support of international organizations, he added.

The Commander pointed out that ISIS danger is continuous, as it implements operations and threatens the area and neighboring countries.

Tudor announced a full commitment to support the expertise of SDF and the capabilities of its fighters who reside in Hawl Camp.

In turn, Newroz Ahmad, a female leader of the SDF, hailed the support provided by the Global Coalition, calling for the international community to be aware of ISIS danger.
