Three Syrian soldiers killed in Syria’s Idlib – Khmeimim

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria in Khmeimim Air Base said on Saturday that opposition factions killed three soldiers of Syrian government forces in Idlib Governorate, northwest Syria.

Three soldiers of the government forces were killed and another was wounded in a rocket attack by the armed opposition factions, also known as Syrian National Army (SNA), according to Khmeimim.

“The rocket attack was done by terrorists in Syria’s Idlib governorate,” Counter Admiral Oleg Vladimirovich Zhuravlyov, vice director of the Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria, said.

“As a result of the attack from Deir Sunbul in Idlib on a government forces’ post in the village of Hantoteen, three members of the Syrian armed forces were killed and another was wounded,” Zhuravlyov added.

On August 31, the Russian Center announced that Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS-formerly al-Nusra Front), committed five attacks within the de-escalation zone in Syria.

Since early January 2022, the de-escalation zone in northwestern Syria has witnessed frequent bombardment by the Russian forces on opposition sites, in addition to mutual shelling between the government forces and the opposition factions, especially over south of Idlib and west of Aleppo.
