Israel shells Syria’s Damascus 2 hours after striking Aleppo

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Israeli missile strikes targeted on Wednesday evening Rif Dimashq, southern Syria, about two hours after a similar Israeli bombardment hitting the vicinity of Aleppo International Airport.

State-run SANA news agency said, “The [Syrian] Army air defenses repelled hostile missiles over Damascus and its countryside,” adding that they shot down a number of them.

Two hours ago, the vicinity of Aleppo International Airport was subjected to an Israeli missile attack, resulting in material damage to the airport, reported SANA.

On August 25, Israel launched air raids at several sites in the western countryside of Hama, western Syria, targeting ammunitions’ depots affiliated with Iranian-backed militias.
