Damascus calls UN condemn Israeli attacks

DAMASCUS (North Press) – On Saturday, Syrian government called on the United Nations (UN) and the UN Security Council to issue condemnation to the Israeli attacks on its territories.

On August 25, areas in the western countryside of Hama were subjected to Israeli airstrikes targeting military posts.

The state-run SANA news agency reported then that “Syrian defense systems repelled several hostile targets in Masyaf” without giving much details.

Last week, three soldiers of the Syrian government forces were killed and three others were injured in an Israeli airstrike against military posts in Damascus and Tartus.

In a letter addressed to the UN Secretary General and the President of the Security Council, Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said, “Syria calls on the United Nations and the Security Council to issue a clear and explicit condemnation of the Israeli aggressions on its territory as a deliberate violation of the sovereignty of a member state of the United Nations.”
