Turkish forces intensify Shelling of contact lines in Syria’s Tel Tamr

Tel tamr, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces hit on Tuesday morning five villages, west of the town of Tel Tamr, north of Hasakah Governorate, displacing residents.

A source in Tel Tamr Military Council, affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), told North Press that the Turkish forces targeted the villages of al-Tawila, al-Gozaliya, Tel al-Laban, Umm al-Kheir, and Salmasa in the countryside of Tel Tamr, causing material damage to the residents’ properties.

Though contact lines in Tel Tamr countryside are witnessing a state of calmness, residents have not returned to their areas, fearing that Turkish shelling repeats again.

This came in tandem with a similar military escalation by the Turkish forces on villages on contact lines in northern Syria since the early morning.

In addition, a two-year old child was injured in the city of Kobani, north Syria, due to heavy Turkish artillery shelling of Kobani Hospital in the eastern part of the city.
