We are ready to provide help to northeastern Syria – ex-French minister

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Bernard Kouchner, former French Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, said Sunday that they are ready to provide whatever assistance required from them to northeastern Syria.

This came during a press conference held by Kouchner, in the city of Qamishli in northeastern Syria, in which he noted to “the need not to forget the crisis lived in the region, amid the ongoing conflict in the West.”

We “will not forget the efforts made by the people of this region during their battles against the Islamic State Organization [ISIS],” he said.

This conference comes amid Turkish threats of launching a new military operation targeting the two northern Syrian cities of Manbij and Tel Rifaat.
