Turkish-backed opposition faction’s member injured in IED explosion in Aleppo countryside

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – A member of a Turkish-backed opposition SNA faction was injured on Thursday in an explosive device explosion inside a military vehicle carrying ammunition near the building of the Turkish-backed Military Police faction on the northern corridor of the city of Azaz, north Aleppo.

“A member of the Turkish-backed Levant Front faction was wounded when an explosive device exploded inside a pickup truck carrying ammunition,” a special source told North Press.

“The vehicle was carrying mortar shells and some ammunition when it was exploded, which led to significant material damage in the place,” the source added.

Since July 2012, Azaz and the surrounding villages, north of Aleppo, have been under the control of the Turkish-backed Syrian armed opposition factions. Successive bombings and kidnapping take place frequently in the city amid inability of the Syrian opposition factions to control security.
