Israel may allow Iran to transfer oil to Syria
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Under the auspices of the US, Israel may allow Iran to transfer oil to Syria, before restarting talks of nuclear agreements between Tehran and world powers.
There are already three tankers moving from Iran toward Syria, according to the Times of Israel.
The ships had previously carried some weapons from Tehran to Syria and the Lebanese Hezbollah, according to the Israeli Channel 12.
This step will ease sanctions ahead of the anticipated resumption of the stalled nuclear deal talks.
In April 2021, the nuclear deal talks, also formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), started but due to conflicts between Iran and the US, stalled in March.
The US president Joe Biden seeks to resume the deal again, saying that it will be the best way to prevent Iran from getting nuclear arms.
The deal eases sanctions on Iran, in case it guarantees not to develop nuclear arms.
Although Iran denied developing any nuclear weapon, Israel says that it did according to its intelligence sources.
Israel, which was always warning of Iranian intentions to build nuclear arms, fiercely rejected to return to the deal, considering Tehran as unreliable and will not keep its commitments.
