Turkey bombs two villages in Manbij countryside, north Aleppo
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces bombed on Wednesday the villages of Awn al-Dadat and Muhsinli, north of the city of Manbij in northern Syria, with mortar shells.
“The bombing started this afternoon and lasted for about two hours,” an informed source from the Manbij Military Council told North Press.
The populated villages were struck with 20, causing a state of panic among the residents, according to the source.
The Turkish bombing coincided with a Turkish drone targeting the village of Arab Hassan with several bombs.
The source did not mention any material damage or causalties.
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) liberated Manbij from ISIS rule in 2016, and the city is now under the control of the SDF-aligned Manbij Military Council.
