Forces of government, opposition exchange shelling in Syria’s northwest
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – The mutual shelling between the Turkish-backed opposition factions and the government forces continued on Thursday in several areas in northwest Syria.
The government forces shelled the opposition factions’ posts in the villages and towns of al-Fatira, Kafr Aweed, Sufuhn, Kansafra, and the outskirts of the town of al-Bara in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells, military opposition sources told North Press.
Similarly, the opposition’s posts in the villages and towns of Kafr Ta’al, Taqad, Kafr Noran Maklabis and other posts in the villages of al-Mushik and al-Enkawi in the Plain Ghab west of Hama, were also shelled by the government forces, according to the same sources.
Meanwhile, al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room struck the government forces’ posts in the villages and towns of Hazarin, al-Dar al-Kabira and Malajah, south of Idlib, with artillery shells and missiles,” military sources in the opposition told North Press.
Areas in the de-escalation zone in the northwest of Syria continue to witness daily exchange of bombardment between the Turkish-backed opposition factions and the government forces.
