Iranian-backed militias provide rockets for “malign groups” in Syria’s Hasakah

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Iranian-backed militias supply rockets to “malign factions” in Hasakah governorate, northeast Syria, which threaten the lives of the civilians.

Recent investigations which were made by the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS uncovered that the Iranian-backed militias provide rockets for malign groups, an exclusive source from the region told North Press.

The source did not give further details on what he called “malign groups.”

This came following a rocket attack on the city of Shaddadi, south of Hasakah, when two rockets were fired at the vicinity of the city.

The rockets caused panic and horror among the people of the city.

The source added that the continued destabilizing activities of the Iranian-backed militias are witnessed by all who live in Syria.

The Iranian-backed militias control vast areas of the countryside of Deir ez-Zor and Syria’s Badia. The area is a source of concern.

“Their [Iranian-backed militias] harmful efforts continue to degrade the livelihoods of civilians across the region. They continue to export their violence, fear and hatred across the country,” the source noted.
