Operation Inherent Resolve appreciates SDF Efforts for Maintaining ISIS Defeat

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – The US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, thanked Tuesday the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) for their continuous efforts to maintain the ongoing defeat of ISIS, adding that the coalition is committed to its partnership with the SDF.

This came a day after the SDF announced capturing some ISIS members in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

“The tireless effort of the #SDF in denying Daesh sanctuaries & preventing their resurgence demonstrates SDF’s dedication to building sustainable & resilient stability in NE Syria,” the Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) said on its page on Twitter.

OIR is the US military’s operational name for the international military coalition’s intervention against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, which started in August 2016.

OIR also said that they “remain committed to partnership with the SDF to ensure the lasting defeat of Daesh.”
