Three government forces’ members killed in Syria’s Daraa governorate.
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen deadly shot on Tuesday two members of the government forces in the eastern countryside of Daraa governorate. A third member of the government forces was killed in an explosive device blast in the city of Daraa.
“Two members of the 15th Division of the government forces were killed by unidentified gunmen riding a motorcycle in the town of Sayda in the eastern countryside of Daraa,” a local source told North Press.
In another incident, a member of the Military Security Branch of the government forces, was targeted by an explosive device while being in his car in the city of Daraa. He was seriously wounded and transported to a hospital in Damascus but he died there,” local sources told North Press.
“The killed member joined the Military Security Branch about a year ago. His father was a brigadier pilot and defected from the government forces at the start of the anti-government protests in 2011,” the sources added.
On September 2021, dignitaries of Daraa governorate and Syrian government reached a ceasefire agreement under Russia’s mediation which included handing over weapons of the local factions, and deploying government’s security posts in the towns of the governorate.
