Attackers kill, wound government members in Syria’s Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified armed men targeted on Tuesday a car of a military group of the Syrian government forces in the city of Daraa, south Syria, killing a member and wounding another.
The attackers targeted the car with an IED and killed Ahmad al-Qastam al-Musalma, a member of the government security branch, in the neighborhood of al-Menshiya in Daraa governorate, a local source told North Press.
The sources explained that the attack also critically wounded another member, and he was transferred then to Daraa National Hospital for treatment.
Al-Kasem was subjected to more than five failed attempted murder in the neighborhood.
On September 2021, dignitaries of Daraa governorate and Syrian government reached a ceasefire agreement under Russia’s mediation which included handing over weapons of the local factions, and deploying government’s security posts in the towns of the governorate.
