Russian-Turkish joint patrol run east of Syria’s Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Russian Military Police (MP) and Turkish forces conducted a joint patrol in the eastern countryside of the city of Kobani, north Syria.
This is the 95th patrol between the two forces in the region since the signing of the Russian-Turkish ceasefire agreement.
The patrol, which consisted of eight Russian and Turkish military vehicles accompanied by two Russian helicopters, set off from the village of Gharib, 15 kilometers east of Kobani.
The patrol passed by the villages of Qaramogh, Jishan, Kharabisan Tahtani, and Baghdek reaching to Khanah village in the western countryside of Tel Abyad.
The patrol returned to the starting point in the village of Gharib.
The Turkish military vehicles returned to Turkey through the gate near Gharib village, while the Russian military vehicles returned to their position near the town of Sirrin, south of Kobani.
On March 28, Russian and Turkish forces conducted the 94th joint patrol in the western countryside of Kobani.
