ISIS cell dismantled in Iraq’s governorates
ERBIL, KRG, Iraq (North Press) – The Iraqi Ministry of Interior (MOI) announced, on Thursday, that an Islamic State Organization (ISIS) cell of four was dismantled in the middle and east of Iraq.
The intelligence and investigation agency of the MOI released a statement saying the arrested ISIS members were providing logistic support to other fellow members in Diyala and Saladin governorates.
“The operation was precise and was carried out by an expert team who monitored the cell for few days,” the statement said concerning the arrest operation.
As a preliminary stage, the ISIS members were interrogated as they confessed they had joined ISIS and took part in several operations against the security forces and the local people.
