Tents in Syria’s Hawl Camp caught fire

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday evening, 5 tents in the fifth sector of Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah, caught fire, but no casualties were reported.

“A fire broke out in the fifth sector, caused by the burning of a gas heater,” a security source in Hawl Camp told North Press.

The fire only caused material damage, according to the source.

It is reported that the five tents belong to displaced Syrians.

The fire trucks were able to control the fire before it spread to other tents.

Since the beginning of this year, Hawl Camp has witnessed two fires, in which a woman and four others, including a child, lost their lives.

The Hawl Camp is a house for about 15,300 families in total of 56,000 individuals including 2,423 families of ISIS detained or killed militants, who hail from over than 60 countries.
