US-led Coalition announces arrest of ISIS leader near Iraq’s Halabja
ERBIL, KRG, Iraq (North Press) – On Monday, the US-led Global Coalition announced the arrest of a leader of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRG).
The Kurdish Security Forces conducted an operation near Halabja on Monday, Special Operations Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve (SOJTF-OIR) tweeted.
“The operation aimed at disrupt the transportation of terrorists in the region leading to the capture of one Daesh leader,” the tweet added.
The SOJTFOIR did not mention other details about the operation.
