Turkish forces shell villages of Syria’s north of Hasakah
TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, Turkish forces and the Turkish-backed armed factions targeted two Assyrian villages in the countryside of Tel Tamr, northeast Syria, with heavy weapons.
The Turkish forces and the armed factions shelled the villages of Tel Shnan and Tel Jum’a in addition to Dardara village, in the countryside of Tel Tamr, with artillery shells and mortars, a source of Tel Tamr military council told North Press.
As a result of the shelling, military losses were reported to civilians’ possessions, according to the source.
The Turkish shelling came a week after calm the frontlines witnessed in the countryside of Tel Tamr.
After freezing the Turkish military operation in mid-November, this targeting has been the second against the town by the Turkish forces.
