QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – In the early morning of Wednesday, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched missiles on military positions inside the Syrian territories.
Days ago, the IDF had also launched rockets on Rif Dimashq area, injuring two Syrian government members and leaving some material damage, according to the state agency SANA.
Syrian official media outlets reported an Israeli rocket attack on an area in Rif Dimashq on Wednesday morning causing material damage.
SANA quoted a military source as saying “The Israeli aggression conducted a number of airstrikes from the north of the Israeli-occupied Palestine lands, and targeted the Zakiya area leaving material losses”.
Other media outlets reported the IDF attacked factions backed by Iran and the Lebanese Hezbollah in the countryside of the Syrian capital Damascus.
Israel has conducted hundreds of air raids on Syria in the last few years on the purpose of preventing Iranian-backed militias to establish bases on the Syrian lands.
