Third Turkish convoy in 72 hours enters Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, Turkish forces sent new military reinforcements to the de-escalation zone in northwest Syria.
A Turkish military convoy, consisting of more than 60 military and logistical vehicles, entered Syrian territory through Kafr Lossin border crossing, eyewitnesses told North Press.
Most of the vehicles headed to the Turkish points in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, and the M4 Highway near Ariha town.
The convoy had tanks, heavy artillery, armored vehicles, trucks carrying ammunition, logistical materials, cement blocks, and personnel carriers carrying dozens of members, according to witnesses.
On October 26, a massive Turkish military convoy including more than 100 military and logistical vehicle entered Syrian territory through Kafr Lossin border crossing.
In the same day, the Turkish forces sent military reinforcements with more than 50 vehicles to their bases in Zawiya Mountain.
Since its military interference in Syria, the Turkish forces have established more than 70 military points in the areas of Idlib, Aleppo, Hama and Latakia, northwest Syria.
There are about 12,000 Turkish soldiers and 9,000 military vehicles in northwest Syria, according to some press reports.
