Remnants of war injure two children in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, two children were injured when a bomb left over from the war exploded in the town of al-Sousah, east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
The two children were injured while playing near the house. They were transported to the Kaysum Hospital in the town of Hajin, east of Deir ez-Zor, sources close to the two children told North Press.
“One of the two children was injured in the hand and lost his fingers, while the other had shrapnel lodged in his body. They both are still in the hospital for treatment,” the sources added.
The remnants of the war are still threatening the lives of residents of various Syrian regions, including the villages and towns of the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, where previous battles took place.
Less than a month ago, two children lost their lives, and two others were injured in a landmine explosion in the town of al-Bahra, east of Deir ez-Zor.
