Syria’s northwest records 626 new coronavirus infections

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Syrian Interim Government of the opposition Syrian National Coalition announced the recording of 626 new cases of coronavirus, 538 recoveries and 32 deaths in the Idlib and Aleppo countryside, northwest Syria.  

It indicated that it conducted tests for 1,110 suspected cases in its areas.

With the newly announced figures, the total number of coronavirus infections in the opposition-controlled areas has risen to 77,642, including 1,442 deaths and 44,835 recoveries.

Various Syrian regions witnessed a significant increase in the number of recorded coronavirus infections and deaths, despite the arrival of the vaccines to most of those areas.
