Two brothers killed in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor countryside
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, two brothers were shot dead by unknown gunmen in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
“Unidentified gunmen, who were riding a motorcycle, opened fire on the two brothers, Hammadi al-Baloz, 35, and Muhammad, 27, near al-Safa’ Mosque in the center of the town,” a military source of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the town of al-Busaira, 30 km east of Deir ez-Zor, said.
“The two brothers succumbed to their injuries in the al-Busaira Hospital, and a doctor there said that they were subjected to a huge number of bullets,” the source told North Press.
A local source in al-Busaira town said that Muhammad al-Baloz worked in the local council of the town, and his brother was not affiliated with any military faction.
The eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor is witnessing widespread assassinations of members of the SDF, employees of the Autonomous Administration, notables, tribal sheikhs and civilians.
Two days ago, a civilian lost his life when unidentified gunmen shot him in the town of Sweidan in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
