Kurdish civilian arrested in Syria’s Azaz
ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, the Counter-Terrorism Service in the city of Azaz arrested a Kurdish resident of a village in the countryside of Afrin, north of Aleppo.
The Turkish-backed Counter-Terrorism Service in the city of Azaz arrested 26-year-old Habash Rashid Habash, under the pretext of “previously dealing with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, a local source told North Press.
Habash was arrested inside Shamarin Hospital, east of the city of Azaz, when he was with his sick wife, who was receiving treatment in the hospital, the source added.
Habash was taken to an unknown location and no information was received on his fate until now, according to the sources.
Turkish-backed armed Syrian factions continue to kidnap and arrest residents of the Afrin region, north of Aleppo.
Areas occupied by the pro-Turkish factions have been witnessing security chaos accompanied by frequent explosions, in addition to cases of abductions and corruption amid the failure of these factions to maintain security.
