Four children killed by government bombardment of Syria’s Hama

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, four children were killed and others were wounded in artillery and missile attacks by government forces on west of Hama, northwest Syria.

Government forces stationed in Jorin Camp in Hama bombed the town of Qastoun in the western countryside of Hama with heavy artillery and rockets, military sources from the opposition told North Press.

As a result of the bombardment, four children lost their lives and six others were wounded and taken to medical points for treatment, the sources added.

On Saturday night, government forces intensively bombed the sites of Turkish-backed armed factions in the vicinity of the villages and towns of Qastoun, Khirbet al-Naqous, Zayzoun, Tel Wasit, Mansoura, al-Mashik, al-Ankawi, located in the Ghab Plain area in the western countryside of Hama, according to the same sources.

Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly al-Nusra Front) and Jaysh al-Izza (Army of Glory) along with the National Front for Liberation, announced targeting the government forces’ positions in the vicinity of Ain Hamam town, west of Hama, with Grad rockets and mortar shells.

For months, the countryside of Idlib has been witnessing escalation and mutual shelling between government forces and armed factions, resulting in casualties and the displacement of hundreds of residents.
