Government forces and opposition exchange bombing in Syria’s northwest
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday evening, areas south of Idlib and west of Hama witnessed a continuation of mutual shelling between the Syrian opposition factions and the Syrian government forces.
Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room targeted the positions of the Syrian government forces near al-Malik Hill, north of Latakia, with heavy artillery shells and missiles, military sources in the opposition told North Press.
Fateh Al-Mubin also targeted a meeting of officers in the Syrian government and Russian forces near the Nabi Younis summit in the northern countryside of Latakia, with heavy artillery, the sources added.
In Idlib, opposition factions targeted Syrian government forces’ sites and the affiliated militias in the town of Kafruma, south of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells and Grad missiles, according to the same sources.
The sources pointed out that Fateh Al-Mubin Operations Room targeted the positions of Syrian government forces in the villages of al-Rasif and al-Jaid in Ghab Plain, west of Hama, with heavy artillery. It also targeted a gathering of the Syrian government forces near the city of Saraqeb, east of Idlib, with mortar shells.
The Syrian government forces bombed the sites of opposition factions in the city of Ariha, south of Idlib, with heavy artillery and rockets, local sources told North Press.
