Opposition militants injured in bomb explosion in Syria’s Tel Abyad

TEL TAMR, Syria (North Press) – On Saturday, three members of the pro-Turkish armed opposition factions were injured in a hand grenade explosion in their car in the city of Tel Abyad, northeast Syria.

It is believed that the bomb exploded by mistake in a car carrying armed members of opposition factions near the border crossing in Tel Abyad.

The explosion resulted in the injury of three members, including the deputy head of the crossing, Ibrahim al-Jassem.

Since late 2019, Turkish forces and the affiliated opposition factions have controlled the city of Tel Abyad.  Tens of thousands of residents of the area were displaced, according to human rights reports.
