Unidentified aircraft bomb Iranian vehicle east of Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, A military source from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s Hashemiyoun faction in the town of al-Bukamal on the Iraqi-Syrian border said that the loaded car was accompanied by another PMU vehicle on al-Hari Highway near the town of al-Suway’iya in al-Bukamal countryside.
The source indicated that the aircraft targeted two checkpoints of the Popular Mobilization, and the casualties are not known yet.
The source stated that the car was parked in front of an ice factory when it was bombed and was heading to a center belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards in the city of al-Mayadin, east of Deir ez-Zor.
The pro-Iranian factions control the villages and towns of the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor after the expulsion of the Islamic State organization (ISIS) in 2017.
Three months ago, unidentified aircraft targeted a Kia Rio car carrying leaders of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, killing them in the town of al-Duwayr in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
