Syrian government-held areas record 36 new coronavirus cases

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government recorded 36 new coronavirus infections and three deaths in its areas of control.

The government’s media office stated on its Facebook account that the new deaths were two in Aleppo and one in Damascus.

Meanwhile, the media office announced the recording of eight new recoveries.

The new cases were 18 in Aleppo, ten in Damascus, three each in Rif-Dimashq and Homs and two in Latakia.

The total toll of the infections in the government-held areas has come up to 25,515, including 1,876 deaths and 21,825 recoveries.

On Thursday, the government-held areas recorded 37 new coronavirus infections, three deaths, and nine recoveries.
