Syrian government-held areas record 37 new coronavirus cases

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government recorded 37 new coronavirus infections and three deaths in its areas of control.

The government’s media office stated on its Facebook account that the new deaths were one each in Aleppo, Latakia, and Damascus.

Meanwhile, the media office announced the recording of nine new recoveries.

The new cases were 16 in Aleppo, five in Damascus, four in Tartous, three in Hama, two each in Latakia, Quneitra, Hasakah, and Deir ez-Zor, one in Homs.

The total toll of the infections in the government-held areas has come up to 25,479, including 1,873 deaths and 21,817 recoveries.

On Monday, the government-held areas recorded 38 new coronavirus infections, three deaths, and nine recoveries.
