Mutual bombardments in the de-escalation zone in Syria’s
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Friday, the de-escalation zone in northwest Syria witnessed a mutual bombing between Syrian government forces and Turkish-backed armed opposition groups.
Military sources in the opposition told North Press that the government forces bombed with artillery shells the town of Bazabur, located in Jabal al-Arba’in area in the southern countryside of Idlib.
Six civilians were wounded, including children and women, who transferred to medical points for treatment, the source added.
Government forces targeted the fortifications of opposition groups in the towns of al-Enkawi, al-Zeyarah, and Zayzun, located in Ghab Plain area, west of Hama, with mortars and rocket launchers.
The bombing coincided with intense flight of Russian reconnaissance planes and warplanes in Idlib, and the countryside of Hama, Aleppo and Latakia, without recording any air strike.
The sources indicated that the “Al-Fateh Al-Mubin” operations room, which includes “Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham” (formerly Al-Nusra Front) and “Jaysh Al-Izza” along with the “National Front for Liberation”, bombed at dawn today, military gatherings of government forces on the axes of the town of Miznaz in Aleppo countryside western.
The sources pointed out that al-Fath al-Mubin Operations Room, which includes several armed groups, targeted gatherings of government forces in the town of Miznaz in western countryside of Aleppo.
The military escalation between the government forces and the armed opposition groups comes despite the passage of more than a year of the ceasefire entry into force.
