Government forces target opposition groups in Syria’s northwest
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, Syrian government forces bombed positions of the Turkish-backed armed opposition groups in the he-escalation zone, northwest Syria.
The government forces bombed fortifications of the armed opposition in the towns of Kansafra, al-Fatira and al-Bara in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, with missiles and artillery shells, military sources of the opposition told North Press.
Opposition’s locations in the towns of Binin and Deir Sunbul, south of Idlib, were targeted with mortar shells by government forces, the sources added.
The bombing coincided with intensive flight of Russian warplanes and reconnaissance aircraft on Aleppo, Hama, Latakia and Idlib, without any air strikes.
