ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Monday evening, a person was killed and nine others were injured when a car bomb exploded in the middle of a market in the city of al-Rai, in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
The explosion took place in a popular market, killing a civilian and wounding nine others, a special source told North Press.
The explosion was caused by an explosive device planted inside a car near a pharmacy in the city market, which left civilian casualties and caused great material damage to the place, the source added.
The injured were transferred to medical points outside the city due to the presence of some critical cases that needed surgeries, according to the source.
The city of al-Rai, 60 km from the center of Aleppo, has been under the control of Turkish-backed armed opposition factions since August 18, 2016.
