Two people killed in tribal dispute in Syria’s Raqqa
RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – Two people lost their lives in two separate places in Raqqa, northern Syria, as a result of tribal disputes.
(A.B.), 42, was stabbed to death in al-Adnaniya farm, west of Raqqa, as a result of a clan dispute that took place ten days ago, a local source told North Press.
The other family burned the house of the accused of murder in addition to several other houses of his relatives, before the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) intervened and took control of the situation, the source added.
Earlier today, a 28-year-old (X), from al-Jazra neighborhood, west of Raqqa, was killed by one of his relatives, according to local sources.
The accused “broke into the dead man’s house and shot him”, to be killed immediately, while his mother and two of his sisters were wounded, eyewitnesses told North Press.
On May 18, a clan fighting resulted in the loss of two civilians’ lives in the town of al-Suwar, 50 km north of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria.
