Unidentified individuals shot dead Turkish-backed militants in Syria’s Aleppo countryside

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press)On Sunday evening, unidentified gunmen shot dead two members of the Turkish-backed militants in the city of al-Bab, east of Aleppo.

Gunmen, who were riding a motorcycle, opened fire on three members of the Syrian opposition Civil Police in Zamzam Street in the city of al-Bab, special source told North Press.

Two members were killed and another was seriously wounded, as a result of the attack, while no party has claimed the operation. 

The city of al-Bab, 30 km from the Turkish border, has been under the control of Turkish forces and armed opposition groups since 2017.

The Turkish-backed armed groups-held areas northwest Syria, have been witnessing frequent assassinations and bombings, amid the groups’ inability to settle security.
