Four deaths, 92 new coronavirus infections in Syria’s AANES areas

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration announced the recording of 4 deaths and 92 new cases of coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria.

The official Autonomous Administration account on Facebook cited Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the Health Board, saying that the deaths were two men from Qamishli and two women from Deir ez-Zor.

In the Jazira region, the infections were in Derik 19, Qamishli 9, Hasakah 4, Derbasiya 2, Hawl Camp 2 and Newroz Camp 2.  

In the Euphrates region, the infections were in Raqqa 28, Tabqa 12, Kobani 7 and Manbij 7. 

The Health Board also recorded one recovery only.

With the announcement of these new infections, the number of coronavirus cases in northeast Syria has risen to 17,271, including 709 deaths and 1,758 recoveries.
