Two deaths, 43 new coronavirus infections in Syria’s AANES areas

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, the Health Board of the Autonomous Administration announced the recording of two deaths and 43 new cases of coronavirus in the regions of northeast Syria.

The official Autonomous Administration account on Facebook cited Jiwan Mustafa, co-chair of the Health Board, saying that the deaths were a woman from Hasakah and a man from Qamishli.

Most of the infections today were in 17 in Hasakah and 10 in Qamishli.

The rest of the infections were as the following: Derik 6, Derbasiya 5, Raqqa 2, and one in each Hawl Camp, Manbij and Amuda.

The Health Board also recorded the recovery of four new infections.

The number of coronavirus cases in northeast Syria has risen to 17,088, including 702 deaths and 1,755 recoveries.
