Unknown individuals burn council building in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor countryside
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, unknown individuals set fire to a local council belonging to the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria in the town of Deir ez-Zor countryside, eastern Syria.
A source from the town council of al-Susah, 120 km east of Deir ez-Zor, said that unknown individuals set fire to the building of the local council in the town, the whole building was destroyed.
Unidentified persons tried several times to attack the council’s night watchman and hit the building with explosive devices.
Two months ago, an explosive device exploded in the building of al-Susah town council, causing material damage.
Unidentified gunmen are intensifying their targeting of official, civilian and military buildings in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, in conjunction with targeting members of the Syrian Democratic Forces, employees of the Autonomous Administration institutions, dignitaries and residents in the region.
On May 10 this year, unknown persons blew up the emergency building in the town of Tayyeb al-Faall, north of Deir ez-Zor.
