American troops conduct two patrols in Syria’s Tel Tamr
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press)-On Monday, US forces conducted two military patrols in northeast Syria, one near a point of the Russian forces stationed in the region.
A North Press correspondent reported that an American patrol crossed the town of Tel Tamr and headed towards the M4 highway, coming from the Qasrik military base east of the town.
Russian forces have transformed the former dairy farm north of Tel Tamr into a station for their forces in the region.
The patrol consisted of five armored vehicles bearing the flag of the United States, without air cover, the North Press correspondent reported.
Simultaneously, US forces conducted a military patrol in the countryside of Derik, in the far northeast of Syria.
Local sources from Rubaria village told North Press that an American patrol arrived in the village this afternoon.
The patrol consisted of four military armored vehicles without air cover, and they re-entered the agricultural airport near the village of Rubaria, which is used by Global Coalition forces as a helipad.
The conduct of the two patrols comes within the usual rounds of the Global Coalition forces.
More than once, cities and towns in northeast Syria have witnessed verbal altercations between American and Russian soldiers over the course of the patrols.
