MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, two IEDs exploded in the Turkish-backed opposition groups-held city of Jarablus, northern Syria, killing and wounding a number of people.
Two explosive devices placed at the bottom of two cars belonging to Ahrar al-Sham group, exploded, leaving dead and wounded, a local source said.
The source added that the explosion took place after a large number of residents left the mosques after the Tarawih prayer, while the real number of the casualties have not yet been known.
On January 27, a leader of the pro-Turkish armed opposition group Sham Legion, was killed, as he died of his wounds after an explosive device exploded in his car in the city of Jarablus.
Turkish forces and its backed armed opposition groups have been running the city of Jarablus, near the Turkish border, since 2017.
During the opposition era, the area has been witnessing security chaos and frequent explosions in light of the opposition groups’ inability to settle the area.
