Turkish forces patrol in Syria’s M4 Highway

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the Turkish forces conducted a unilateral patrol on the Aleppo-Latakia highway, known as M4 Highway, coinciding with continued military escalation between the armed opposition groups and the Syrian government forces in the region.

“The Turkish forces intensively deployed on Wednesday morning on M4 Highway near the city of Ariha and the town of Mehambel, and combed the highway,” military sources told North Press.

“After completing the combing operations, the Turkish forces conducted a unilateral patrol on the aforementioned road from the town of Neirab, east of Idlib, to Ain al-Hoor region in the countryside of Latakia,” the sources added.

The patrol coincided with artillery and missile shelling of the Syrian government forces on Zawiya Mountain region, south of Idlib.

The patrol was accompanied by the flight of Turkish drones over the region, while the Turkish Ministry of Dfense has not published details of today’s patrol until preparing the news.
