Mutual bombing renews between government and opposition forces in Syria’s Idlib
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, the de-escalation areas in Idlib, northwest Syria, witnessed mutual shelling between Syrian government forces and armed opposition groups.
“The Syrian government forces bombed the villages of Majdealya and al-Ruwaiha in Zawiya Mountain, south of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells and rocket launchers,” field sources told North Press.
“The bombing caused material damage to public and private property, without any reports of civilian or military casualties,” the sources added.
Meanwhile, military sources in the Syrian opposition told North Press that al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room responded to the government bombing by targeting its sites, south of Idlib.
Al-Fateh al-Mubin bombed positions of the government forces in the outskirts of the city of Ma’arat al-Numan, south of Idlib, with heavy artillery shells and rocket launchers, according to the sources.
It also targeted, sites of the government forces in the town of Khan al-Sebl and the village of Dadikh in the southeastern countryside of Idlib.
