Macron receives Barzani in Paris
ERBIL, Iraq (North Press) – On Tuesday, the French President, Emmanuel Macron, received the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, at the Elysee Palace in the French capital, Paris.
The two presidents discussed the most prominent developments in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and the war against the Islamic State (ISIS), according to semi-official Kurdish media.
On Monday evening, Barzani arrived in Paris on an official visit, at Macron’s invitation.
It has been the third meeting between the two presidents since Barzani assumed the president of the Kurdistan Region.
In the evening, Barzani will meet with the French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, and the Mayor of Paris.
