Landmine exploded in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor, child died

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – On Wednesday, a landmine of war remnants, exploded in the town of Abu Hamam, 80 km east Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, killing a child and wounding another.

“The child, Muhammad Ali al-Keheilat, lost life and another wounded due to landmine explosion,” a local source told North Press.

Early in March, the child Ammar al-Hajjar, lost life in the town of Baghouz, east Deir ez-Zor, due to shell explosion.

Recently, engineering teams affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have started working to remove remnants of war in the town of Baghouz and its surroundings adjacent to the city of al-Bukamal, 140 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor, after successive pleas from residents.
