Russia confirmed to Israel rejection Iran’s nuclear: political source

RAMALLAH, Palestine (North Press) – Russia told Israeli Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gabi Ashkenazi during the latter’s visit to Moscow, that it rejects any Iranian activity to reach a nuclear weapon, considering it a threat to Russian interests in the region, an informed political source from 48-Palestine said on Sunday.

“The secret Israeli operations aim to prevent Iran from making an atomic weapon, and not to thwart a nuclear agreement between Iran and the United States,” the source added.

Israel cannot prevent the US administration from returning to the nuclear agreement, but it wants to ensure that Iran does not possess a nuclear weapon, according to the source.

He pointed out that tension between Russia and the US administration is impeding efforts to return to the nuclear agreement.

He indicated that curbing tension between the two superpowers will contribute to the return to a revised nuclear agreement; This is because returning to this agreement will not take place without a joint US-Russian endeavor.

The source suggested that there will be more tension between Iran and the US in the next few months, before the difficult return of negotiations aimed at returning the nuclear agreement.

He expressed his expectation that this will take place in the second half of this year or early in 2022.
